Overview:
A great opportunity to represent Fair-Rite as our European-Based Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for spearheading technical support and education initiatives to enhance Fair-Rite's presence in Europe. This is not a traditional sales role; instead, we are seeking an individual with a passion for electronics, capable of sharing their expertise to elevate our technical standing and visibility. The position is fairly autonomous, so you must be both a self-starter and be able to responsibly use your time in a productive manner.
Salary Range: $75,000 EUR/annually - $120,000 EUR/annually
Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Educational Outreach - Develop and implement strategies to educate customers, distributors, and internal teams on the technical aspects of Fair-Rite's products.
Content Creation - Generate engaging technical content, including videos, articles, and documentation, to facilitate understanding and promote Fair-Rite products worldwide.
Training and Development - Conduct training sessions for our distribution network, ensuring they acquire the necessary technical knowledge to provide effective support to customers.
Technical Support - Serve as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries both remotely and in person, working closely with customers to address challenges and provide solutions.
Outreach to universities to establish collaborative relationships and promote ferrite education.
Collaboration - Work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams to contribute to the development of effective marketing materials that showcase Fair-Rite's technical excellence. Help guide new products and/or markets based on technical trends and gaps in our offerings.
Travel - Travel up to 50% of the time within Europe for customer visits, training sessions, trade shows, conferences, and educational outreach with occasional trips outside Europe, including visits to the US factory and Asian factories and or other customers/vendors/partners.
Location - Home location of the engineer to be centrally located in Europe for efficient travel and outreach.
CRM Utilization - Effectively use our internal CRM software system to capture and document customer visits, interactions, and follow-up actions in order for the sales team to support them.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree preferred)
* Demonstrated expertise and passion for electronics.
* Proven experience in a technical support or similar role.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Based in Europe with the ability to travel, up to 50% of the time, within Europe and occasionally outside of Europe.
