				Overview:

CAES designs, engineers, and manufactures solutions for the world's most critical missions. We are currently seeking a Technical Fellow to join our engineering leadership team. Candidates should be strategic technical leaders passionate about effective application of principled Systems Engineering to deliver world-class sensor product technologies and solutions to our commercial and defense customers. They will apply their knowledge and skills to develop highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts. They will be viewed within the company and the customer community as an expert in radar technologies.

A CAES Fellow will assume a key leadership and advisory role to the Engineering organization. In addition to deep technical expertise, the successful candidate for this role must exhibit fine-tuned communication and presentation skills to interface with senior level executives at CAES and with its customers. The CAES Fellow will possess career experience and demonstrate technical acumen in product technologies associated with complex radar systems including system model synthesis and analysis; RF design and analysis; and Digital Signal Processing synthesis and analysis. A robust System Engineering background with knowledge of radar architecture, modeling and simulation techniques, system analysis, and product development is required.

Responsibilities:

* Develop technology roadmaps, identify technology/capability gaps 
* Create capture strategies and lead white paper development with Business Development and Engineering support
* Engage with customers to shape, pursue, and capture new opportunities 
* Establish partnerships with Government Labs, Universities, and/or Small Businesses
* Drive protection of intellectual property (IP) through reviews of patent/trade secret applications
* Oversee and guide IRAD technology efforts and other challenging technical issues on programs or bids 
* Publicize CAES capabilities through publications, presentations, panel/advisory board participation, news articles
* Foster cross-divisional interaction, collaboration, and technology development
* Help solve cross-Division critical technical challenges
* Mentor to develop the next generation of technical talent and transfer knowledge
* Significant travel as needed, up to 30%.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

* Masters Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering), Physics, or Mathematics.
* Minimum 15 years of experience as an engineer.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
* This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).

Preferred:

* PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
* Aerospace or Defense Experience.
* Radio Frequency or mechanical design and product experience.
* DSP code level development.
* Patents, publications, and/or technical presentations to industry.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Active Security Clearance, highly desirable.

Salary Range: $250,000-$270,000  annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
