Responsibilities: Technical Leadership * Lead the development of financial products, driving design, architecture, and implementation of core application features. * Provide technical direction across backend (.NET Core, distributed systems) and frontend (React, component libraries) technologies. * Champion the responsible use of GenAI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) across the team to improve velocity. * Ensure systems are scalable, secure, performant, and compliant with financial standards. * Oversee integrations with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures within the FO platform. * Apply best practices including SOLID principles, unit testing, and observability. * Reverse engineer and refactor legacy code to improve maintainability and extend functionality. * Leverage AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to increase team productivity. Team Management & Delivery * Provide technical leadership and coordinate day-to-day development activities for the engineering team, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries. * Work with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. * Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. * Provide technical mentorship and guidance to engineers; partner with the Engineering Manager on performance feedback and career development discussions. * Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, CI/CD, and cloud-native solutions. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement * Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Operations. * Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution. * Provide input into the strategic direction of FO application development, balancing innovation with delivery needs. Continuous Improvement & Innovation * Drive modernization initiatives, performance optimization, and technical debt reduction. * Leverage AI-powered development tools and automation frameworks to improve engineering efficiency. * Encourage adoption of emerging technologies where appropriate. Qualifications: * 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership or team lead role. * Strong familiarity with Gen AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot). * Strong understanding of cloud environments (Azure or AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). * Strong full-stack expertise: * Backend: .NET Core / C#, Python, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, event-driven patterns. * Frontend: Kendo UI, Jquery, React, modern UI frameworks, component library design, state management. * Database: Strong experience with SQL Server (RDBMS) - query optimization, indexing, stored procedures, Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos DB, etc.), Data modeling and performance optimization * Experience in financial systems, back-office automation, or enterprise platforms strongly preferred. * Proven experience with reverse engineering and refactoring legacy applications. * Excellent problem-solving, architectural thinking, and communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence engineering teams.
