Responsibilities:

Team Lead (Citrix & VMware VDI) 

contract type: full-time | working model: hybrid | location: Sofia, Bulgaria

Are you ready to lead a senior team supporting a global automotive customer? 

We're looking for a Team Leader who will guide a highly experienced VDI engineering team responsible for delivering VMware-based managed services for a major automotive enterprise. You'll balance people leadership, operational ownership, and hands-on technical expertise to ensure a secure, scalable, and reliable digital workplace. 

What you'll do 

* Lead and support a senior 15-person VDI team delivering services to a global automotive customer. 
* Own operational performance, KPIs, SLAs, and service delivery quality. 
* Stay hands-on in key technologies (VMware Horizon, vSphere, vSAN, automation, escalations). 
* Ensure operational excellence: planning, resource coordination, workload distribution, and continuous improvement. 
* Support high-severity escalations and guide the team through complex VDI challenges. 
* Contribute to architecture discussions, modernization initiatives, and long-term platform enhancements. 
* Act as a trusted partner for the customer - participating in regular reviews, roadmap calls, and technical discussions. 
* Lead people growth: mentoring, performance reviews, onboarding, and capability development. 

Qualifications:

* Experience leading technical teams and acting as an escalation point.
* Strong communication skills and ease working with senior customer stakeholders.
* Ability to manage SLAs, reporting, and service reviews.
* Solid understanding of VDI service delivery and virtualized environments.
* ITIL Foundation or similar service management background.

Nice to have

* Hands-on experience with VMware/Omnissa VDI (Horizon, vSphere, vSAN).
* Knowledge of networking, storage, or automation (PowerShell/Python/Terraform/Ansible).
* VCP/VCAP/Citrix or similar certifications.
