Responsibilities: * Provides special instruction to students in compliance with school-system and program requirements, state and federal regulations * Implements an instructional, therapeutic and skill development program for differentiated learning levels * Conducts formal and informal assessments of all students * Plans and uses appropriate instructional strategies to include the integration of activities, materials and equipment that align with the accommodations as set in the student's Individual Education Plan * Plans and supervises assignments for staff members assisting with students * Establishes and maintains appropriate, open lines of communication with all parties, to include but not limited to students, therapists, school district personnel, parents and co-workers * Attends all required meetings and trainings offered by program * Completes required documentation within timelines, including recording of grades and attendance * Abides by and demonstrates the company's Mission, Vision, and Values, through both behavior and job performance on a day-to-day basis * Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and holds current state certification as Special Education Teacher in state providing the service * Minimum of one year experience working with children with disabilities * Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is preferred * Understand and have knowledge of the provided curriculum, Unique Learning * Able to co-teach and work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
