About the Role

The Tax Specialist (Tax Research and Planning) will support the corporate tax department by performing research, evaluating tax issues, and completing complex calculations used to determine current and projected domestic and foreign income tax expense. This position will be responsible for completing in-depth research on both current and proposed income tax law in order to provide guidance to the corporate tax department in order to identify potential exposure issues along with tax planning opportunities. The Tax Specialist will assist in managing the daily communications and interactions with the IRS during examinations.

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Clayton, MO and is eligible for a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

* Perform research and analysis on income tax issues, including US and foreign tax compliance, and recommend solutions
* Perform research and analysis in order to offer solutions for intermediate to complex questions related to income tax, withholding taxes (foreign), and transfer pricing
* Manage the daily communications and interactions with the IRS and the Tax Compliance team
* Identify and evaluate tax exposure areas
* Research and evaluate income tax law changes, U.S. and international, in order to identify tax exposure areas
* Perform evaluations and assist in the development of company-wide tax policies
* Perform research and analysis of U.S./international tax position (foreign tax credit planning)
* Consult with external third parties on technical issues
* Assist in responding to and/or protesting IRS Notices of Adjustment
* Assist Tax Compliance team with elections/statements
* Prepare and/or review the more complex calculations related to the federal income tax returns

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must have a Bachelor's degree or greater in: Accounting, Business with an emphasis in Accounting, or Tax

* CPA preferred
* Four (4) or more years public accounting or corporate tax experience required
* Proficient using Microsoft Excel or equivalent applications
* Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
