Our Tax Accountant - Indirect Tax will be responsible for assisting with the management of the Company's indirect tax function, including Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax, and Abandoned & Unclaimed Property. The Tax Accountant - Indirect Tax reports to the Senior Manager of Indirect Tax and collaborates with other tax team members, internal departments, and interfaces with external tax advisors and auditors to ensure compliance and minimize the tax burden of the Company.

Responsibilities:
You Will be responsible for...
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the management of the Company's indirect tax function, including Property Tax, Abandoned & Unclaimed Property Tax, and our Sales and Use Tax functions to ensure accurate reporting of such indirect taxes in multiple jurisdictions. The Tax Accountant - Indirect Tax's role will include, but not be limited to the following:
* Lead the preparation and ensure timely submission of the Company's personal property, real property, and unclaimed property tax returns, maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements
* Oversee the use of property tax software to manage complex data sets, generate reports, and support accurate and efficient tax filings
* Perform and review detailed reconciliations of property tax and unclaimed property filings with the general ledger and other supporting documentation
* Analyze, manage, and resolve tax notices related to sales and use, property, and unclaimed property taxes
* Manage the indirect tax audit process with third-party state auditors
* Assist with the preparation and filling of reverse sales and use tax audits and sales tax refunds including identifying refund opportunities, managing documentation, and ensure timely filing of claims
* Coordinate with tax authorities and third-party advisors to recover overpaid taxes and optimize tax positions
* Research, analysis, documentation, and response with respect to current indirect tax audits
* Develop and enhance the Company's current indirect tax process, including the evaluation of current processes and procedures to determine enhancement opportunities

Qualifications:
The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):
* BS in Accounting or related, Masters in Tax preferred
* CPA or CPA eligible
* 2-5 years of prior public accounting experience or direct industry experience in sales and use tax, property tax, and/or abandoned & unclaimed property
* Experience preparing and filing Sales and use tax, Property Tax and/or Abandoned & Unclaimed Property Tax Returns
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel
* Ability to exercise a degree of initiative, problem resolutions skills, and independent judgement
* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
* Ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it
* Ability to identify and focus on key priorities
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
* Experience with tax software, including PTS (property tax)
