Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Saudi Arabia and will be an onsite position.
Responsibilities:
A Tactical Data Link (TDL) Systems Engineer, or similar role, focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and interoperable communication systems for military applications. These systems enable platforms like aircraft, ships, and ground units to share tactical information in real-time, enhancing situational awareness and decision-making. Responsibilities include system integration, network planning, data analysis, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and protocols.
* Designing and defining the architecture of tactical communication systems, ensuring secure and resilient communication for warfighters. This includes selecting appropriate hardware and software components, and integrating them with various platforms.
* Planning and configuring TDL networks, including Link 16, Link 22, and other relevant standards, to ensure seamless data exchange. This involves understanding network architectures, transmission protocols, and bandwidth requirements.
* Analyzing data transmitted through TDLs, identifying and resolving communication issues, and optimizing system performance.
* Ensuring that TDL systems comply with relevant military standards (MIL-STDs) and protocols, and conducting system testing and evaluation.
* Strong understanding of TDL systems, including Link 16, Link 22, and other relevant protocols
Qualifications:
Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
* Clearance Required: Secret
* Bachelors in Technical field
* Three+ (3) years experience supporting C4I Tactical Data Link systems such as Link-11, Link-16, and Link-22
* Experience working OCONUS in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for US military bases or USG facilities

Preferred Skills and Experience
* Three+ (3) years of experience with NAVWAR prime mission products.
* Three+ (3) years of experience supporting Systems Engineering and Technical Reviews (SETR).
* Completion of DISAM SCM courses such as SCM-C.
* DISAM International Affairs Certification Level 1 or above
