TRADEMARK PARALEGAL (DIRECT HIRE)
Our client, a large well-established Texas based firm with a mid-sized office in downtown Seattle is currently searching for a direct-hire Trademark Paralegal to support the firm's Trademark practice group.
Position duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:
*Preparing U.S. trademark applications, affidavits and renewal applications.
*Filing routine documents with USPTO, mostly electronically.
*Preparing correspondence to associate law firms, foreign associates and/or clients.
*Performing preliminary trademark searches and performing Internet investigations.
*Regularly communicating with attorneys and clients regarding upcoming deadlines.
*Reviewing foreign associate and vendor invoices.
*Drafting assignment documents for recordation of name changes, etc., and meeting country specific requirements, such as notarization and legalization of documents.
*Working as part of a team with attorneys, other assistants and docketing staff.
*Assisting on due diligence reviews of portfolio status.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
To be immediately considered for this fantastic Trademark Paralegal opportunity, you must have the following:
*3+ years of trademark experience in a law firm or corporation;
*Experience with trademark and intellectual property procedures and requirements;
*Experience using an electronic docketing system is preferred;
*Demonstrated abilities with MS Office;
*Excellent grammar, proofreading, spelling;
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
*Superior critical thinking and problem solving abilities;
*The ability to remain flexible and resilient in a challenging environment.
