Overview:
The Timecard Assistant is responsible for analyzing, maintaining and processing employee timecard requests to ensure accurate and timely submission for payroll. This role involves maintaining accuracy of timecard in an electronic system, running reports, and handling payroll-related inquiries.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all employee timecard requests are processed timely and accurately.
* Verify reported hours are correctly entered into the electronic system.
* Identify discrepancies in employee time and attendance records and work with employees/unit leaders for resolution.
* Ensure timecards are approved and processed accurately and on schedule.
* Generate, track and distribute reports related to employee payroll.na
* Answer emails and phone calls related to payroll, forwarding them to the appropriate client as necessary.
* Ensure all payroll documents are filed timely and accurately.
* Track and manage employee Paid Time Off (PTO) accruals and usage.
* Maintain a consistent timekeeping model.
* Actively maintains current knowledge base on workflows and process.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
* High school graduate or GED.
* Must possess basic computer skills related to Windows navigation, mouse usage, keyboarding, email communication and password management.
Desired:
* Previous experience.
* Ability to type 35 wpm.
