About Us: The school is an early learners, kids and teens school where students range from 3 to 18 years of age - we are looking for dynamic and creative teachers to be part of a growing team. We hold regular teaching workshops and various other teacher development programs, including sponsorship of the Cambridge TKT. The teaching team here is very close and it's not rare to find teachers together spending days off at the beach, climbing the local mountains or having a picnic in Zhongshan Park. About Qingdao City: Qingdao is a famous tourist destination in China. Here you can find a wealth of Chinese culture alongside modern amenities with the relaxed atmosphere you'd expect in a beach town. The city proudly hosted the sailing events of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and one of China's largest marinas is here, too. The town is crammed full of coffee shops, restaurants and small bars plus lots of shopping areas, including a cheap and lively night market. Qingdao is divided into two parts, the old and new; the old is home to the German concession area where you can find European architecture and churches among classic Chinese style buildings. The new area includes the downtown business district. Finally, you can't talk about Qingdao without mentioning the famous famous brewery and Beer Street. Tsingtao Beer is known throughout China and the city has several popular beer gardens where you can grab a cold beer and authentic German food. About the Candidate: *You should be enthusiastic, dedicated and responsible. *You should like being around children and be genuinely concerned with their academic and social development. *You should be able to plan engaging lessons using school provided courseware and your own imagination to delight your students. *You should be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to solve problems creatively and with a positive attitude. *You should enjoy working with technology in the classroom. Responsibilities: *40 hour workweek including 20 academic hours. *Planning and carrying out lessons and demo classes *Teaching hours are usually weekday evenings and weekends. Two consecutive days off during the week. *Attending teachers' meetings, academic workshops; participating in marketing events and school organized activities within and outside the center Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree from a four-year university *TESOL/TEFL Certificate *Native English speaker from the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa *Minimum 25 years old (as per local visa regulations) *No teaching experience is necessary but those with teaching background will be considered first *Must be able to commit to a 12-month contract in China Total package of CNY 11,000 - 13,000/month, which breaks down into: *Salary: from CNY 7,000/month - CNY 8,500 (salary paid in net, commensurate with experience and qualifications) *Annual Leave: 10 paid annual leave days plus 12 national holidays *Visa: Sponsored Z work visa *Travel: CNY 9,000 flight allowance *Arrival Support: Airport pick-up *Accommodation: free apartment or accommodation allowance *Accident and Medical insurance *Free Mandarin lessons *Performance based bonuses *Ongoing teacher training, professional development workshops & fully subsidized Cambridge University teaching qualifications How to apply: If you are interested in applying for this position, we kindly request you prepare the following materials: *Your resume/CV *A recent photograph *Scan copy of your passport information page *Scan copies of your degree and TEFL/TESOL certificates *Your current location and preferred start date Due to the volume of applications received, please understand it may not be possible for the company to contact each candidate individually.
