About Dalian City: Dalian is a vibrant city and known throughout China as one of its most beautiful places to live and visit. It is on a peninsula in northern China, adjacent to Korea and nearby other lovely destinations such as Beijing and Harbin. A well-known beach city, Dalian is a popular summertime destination for tourists. Just outside the city are several mountainous areas great for hiking and exploring. Downtown Dalian is very modern, clean and safe. It's been called the "Hong Kong of the North" not only because of its status as a port city but also because of the cosmopolitan vibe that includes shopping, nightlife, cuisine from around the world and five-star hotels. About the Candidate: *You should be enthusiastic, dedicated and responsible. *You should like being around children and be genuinely concerned with their academic and social development. *You should be able to plan engaging lessons using school provided courseware and your own imagination to delight your students. *You should be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to solve problems creatively and with a positive attitude. *You should enjoy working with technology in the classroom. Responsibilities: *40 hour workweek including 20 academic hours. *Planning and carrying out lessons and demo classes *Teaching hours are usually weekday evenings and weekends. Two consecutive days off during the week. *Attending teachers' meetings, academic workshops; participating in marketing events and school organized activities within and outside the center Qualifications: *Bachelor's degree from a four-year university *TESOL/TEFL Certificate *Native English speaker from the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa *Minimum 24 years old (as per local visa regulations) *2+ years of teaching experience is preferred but candidates with less will be considered if they have an excellent professional profile *Must be able to commit to a 12-month contract in China Total package of CNY 11,500 - 15,000/month, which breaks down into: *Salary: from CNY 7,500/month - CNY 11,000 (salary paid in net, commensurate with experience and qualifications) *Annual Leave: 10 paid annual leave days plus 12 national holidays *Visa: Sponsored Z work visa *Travel: CNY 9,000 flight allowance (half paid after 6 months, the other half upon contract completion) *Arrival Support: Airport pick-up *Accommodation: free apartment or accommodation allowance *Accident and Medical insurance *Free Mandarin lessons *Performance based bonuses *Ongoing teacher training, professional development workshops & fully subsidized Cambridge University teaching qualifications How to apply: If you are interested in applying for this position, we kindly request you prepare the following materials: *Your resume/CV *A recent photograph *Scan copy of your passport information page *Scan copies of your degree and TEFL/TESOL certificates *Your current location and preferred start date Due to the volume of applications received, please understand it may not be possible for the company to contact each candidate individually.
