				About Us:

With a written history of over 2,500 years, Changzhou has long been a national hub for tourism and commercial activity. Situated on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, Changzhou is within an earshot of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing and Wuxi.

A relatively small but growing city, Changzhou is a fantastic place to live and work. Our language center downtown currently has nine teachers from overseas plus a local staff of nearly twenty teacher's assistants to offer classroom support.

At work our teachers receive ongoing support from our management team - starting with our robust teacher induction program and continuing with opportunities for professional development in the form of teacher's workshops and training seminars. We put a lot of pride in helping our academic team receive the support they need to improve.

We hope you can join our growing team and help our Changzhou center continue to build its reputation for academic excellence!

About Changzhou City:

The earliest history of Changzhou started at the beginning of the Western Zhou Dynasty - the original town was founded in 221 B.C. - the city got its current name in 589 A.D. and after the Grand Canal was constructed it quickly became a canal port. Noted with its people's honesty and faithfulness, Changzhou now boasts both economic prosperity as well as a well-protected environment.

The city's land transportation is comprised of railway lines and many highways, connecting the city to all of its subdivisions as well as its neighbor cities. It has an efficient network of municipal public transportation, consisting of BRT (Bus Rapid Transit), taxi and a long distance bus system. Public transportation is still the dominant mode of travel for locals. The city also has a domestic airport that connects Changzhou to all of the major cities in China.

Changzhou is one of the tourist destinations in the southern area of Jiangsu Province. Tianning Temple is famous for its high pagoda and extremely long history - nearby is Red Plum Park. Changzhou also has a well-known Dinosaur Park in its New North District which has over fifty dinosaur fossils on exhibition - this includes the world's earliest, biggest and most complete hadrosaur fossil. Another place of historical significance is Comb Lane - this is the scene of the last farewell of Jia Boayu's classic novel "A Dream of Red Mansions."

Changzhou is famous for its cuisine - especially its small snacks. These include pickled radish, sesame candy, dumplings with glutinous rice and silver thread-like noodles. Many famous handicrafts such as the "crisscross" style of silk embroidery and carvings made from green bamboo.
