Overview: Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Automotive Technician in Berkeley, MO! The Automotive Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light to medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Pay: $29.00/hour - $33.00/hour, dependent on experience. This is an overtime eligible role of time and a half. We pay weekly, every Friday! Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM The benefits of belonging - what's in it for you? * Competitive hourly pay - paid weekly, every Friday * Full benefits within 30 days * Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, disability insurance * 401(k) program * Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time * Commitment to your safety through boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement * Career and learning development with an extensive training program through our Amerit University * Employee referral program, up to $1,000 bonus * ASE certification program with fee reimbursement and bonus * Employee recognition platform that includes opportunities to redeem points for merchandise * Employee assistance program (EAP) * 24/7 nurse triage line * Employee discounts on cell phone service and entertainment tickets * Employee resource groups (ERGs) that foster inclusion * Wellness and fitness program through our providers * Laptop and/or cellphone provided What the Technician role looks like: * Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer * Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehicles * Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required * Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures * Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles * Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance * Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles * Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary * Perform other duties as required What our ideal candidate looks like: * At least 5 years experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school * Seeking a candidate with a Missouri State Inspector License * Must have valid driver's license * Proficient computer skills: Knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email * Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) * Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly * Must provide own hand tools & toolbox Work Conditions: * Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job * Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise * Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants * Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maitenance * Ability to move and position heavy objects * Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles * Ability to work outside in various weather conditions Are you ready to advance your career as a Technician with Amerit Fleet Solutions?
