Overview: GovCIO is currently hiring for a Systems Security Instructor SME, to teach individuals on how to protect digital systems from cyber threats. . This position is located in Columbia MD, and will be an on-site position. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver training programs on various aspects of information security, including network security, risk management, and ethical hacking. This role often involves creating curriculum, delivering lectures, conducting hands-on exercises, and providing mentorship. Evaluating students' understanding and skills through quizzes, exams, and practical exercises, providing constructive feedback and guidance. Continuously learning about the latest cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to ensure training remains relevant and effective. Promoting cybersecurity awareness and best practices to various audiences, including non-technical staff. * Stay updated on the latest threats and technologies, constantly refining their curriculum to ensure it remains relevant and effective. . * Delivering engaging and informative lectures, workshops, and hands-on training sessions, both in physical and virtual environments. * A strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices, including network security, encryption, risk management, and ethical hacking * Prior experience in network security, cybersecurity training, or related fields is often required * Ability to analyze security incidents, identify vulnerabilities, and develop effective solutions. * The ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience * Bachelor's Degree with 12+ yrs experience * Clearance Level: Secret * 10+ years of knowledge/experience delivering comprehen-sive cybersecurity training, with 5+ years of experience in system security principles and cyber domains * Skilled in instruction (ISD, ADDIE, Bloom's taxonomy, SAMR), system security concepts, platform proficiency, and communication * IAT Level II or higher ***PENDING CONTRACT AWARD*** Preferred Skills and Experience: * Master's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
