				Overview:

The System Integration will be a key member of KDP's Appliance team within the Product Development Organization.  As the Appliance Design Integration Engineer, you serve as the technical product owner (TPO) within a cross-functional development team and will be responsible for leading the integration of various component subsystems into an appliance that meets or exceeds requirements for delivery on time, at cost and quality.  This includes driving resolution of technical issues, ensuring technical readiness, and meeting project deliverables. The System Integrator will be a technical leader who leads through demonstration, takes an active part in the problem-solving process, and contributes on an individual level. 

What you will do: 

* Lead the implementation of appliance programs through all stage gates and reviews presentation, ensuring alignment from Management on the project's technical readiness
* Lead the technical team to drive resolution on every technical issue with systematic problem-solving methodology
* Act as technical lead to provide technical decision and direction to the squad team and to the vendor
* Coordinate the integrated technical master plan and schedule to meet all program objectives
* As a Squad Leader, lead the overall execution of the technical aspects of a program
* Collaborate with technical and business product leaders both locally and internationally (United States and Singapore) to understand the commercial product requirements and timing
* Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure delivery to program schedules
* Be held accountable for creating and executing the Design Verification Plan. Also accountable for creating and documenting knowledge gained within the development process
* Ensure all engineering work products are delivered on time including specifications, drawings, DFMEAs, tolerance analyses, DVP, work plans, agency certificates
* Interact with vendor partners to ensure quality of desired end products
* Interact with KDP experts as needed to ensure 'best available' thinking is brought into the program
* Act as interface with all technical contributors and product management
* Serve as a prime consultant to Senior Leadership and/or external spokesperson on highly significant matters pertaining to policies, programs, capabilities and long-range goals objectives
* Focus on how projects get done through Lean design practices and rapid learning cycles.

Responsibilities:

What you must have:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field required, Graduate Engineering Degree or an MBA preferred
* Knowledge of metal stamping, silicone & plastic injection molding, tool design concepts
* Experience with manufacturing products in Asia

* 10+ years of Engineering/Integration experience
* Proven ability to lead cross functional through demonstration including hand-on demonstration
* Desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on, dynamic work environment individually with minimum supervision
* Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams cross functionally
* Highly developed abstract problem-solving skills with the knowledge of 8D methodology
* Must be hands on and use a practical approach to concept modeling and testing
* Proficiency in Solidworks 3D-CAD,
* Advanced Technical background with experience in consumer-based system design, ideally in household appliances (or consumer electronics / software)
* Proven track record driving system integration, with leadership experience or intrinsic ability to go beyond individual contributor role
* Familiarity with all engineering sub-fields including electronics hardware design, plastic part design, thermo-fluids, and basic control theory
* Fluent written and spoken English is required, as the working language is English, including outstanding communication skills; written, spoken and verbal presentation.
* Fluent written and spoken Mandarin is required to converse and lead our local development partners.
* Ability to travel up to 30%, including travel internationally
