This position is physically located in Balad, Iraq

The System Administrator III will provide technical assistance with the maintenance and repair of communications and surveillance equipment within program area of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

* Maintain Vectrus communications networks and equipment critical for program operations. 

* Program & Service all types of security products including but NOT limited to; head end Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), analog and IP CCTV cameras and systems, thermal imaging systems, fiber optic, infrared and microwave-based alarm processors. 

* Provide troubleshooting, programming and service including but not limited to; Programming, repairing, or replacing cameras, installing or programming Video recorders & Video Management Systems (VMS) including software initial set up, training and software upgrades. 

* Assist security team replacing IDS components, such as door contacts, motion sensors, solar panels, batteries, control equipment, hold up devices, and site-specific IDS devices including software initial set up, training and software upgrades. 

* Knowledge of fiber data systems to include installing, programming, and troubleshooting data transmission and receiving equipment as well as fiber optic repair to include splicing and terminating, 

* Able to troubleshoot electronics quickly identifying and rectifying issues. 

* Knowledge of how to read/follow CAD drawings, electrical layouts, to program systems to match sequence of operation of security systems 

* Accurately complete and return all paperwork on time and maintain and conduct an inventory of all parts and material. 

* Be available for occasional off-hour emergency service calls and the on-call schedule if assigned. 

* Report all accidents, mishaps and/or customer complaints immediately to Supervisor and Program Management Office. 

* Keep company issued vehicle clean, neat, and organized. 

* Maintain neat and orderly workspaces that properly ensures all customer and company provided tools and materials are accounted for and stored in a proper manner. 

* Work cooperatively with military personnel and department leadership within the company and with fellow coworkers 

* Interface with Vectrus MIS when required to ensure maximum support for fault remediation 

* Provide accurate and complete information on reports and quotes. 

* Manage time including time on the job as well as time for other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

* Minimum Qualifications

* High School Diploma/GED. One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or related field
* IAT Lv I compliant certifications
* Ability to obtain and maintain Host Nation Driver's License

* Experience

* Three (3) years' minimum in comms or advanced electronics maintenance related field.
* Two (2) years' minimum experience in fiber optic troubleshooting, testing and repair; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Skills

* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Strong customer service skills. Ability to communicate with and train customer as needed.
* Able to work alone and handle problems as they arise without guidance.
* Ability to utilize technical manuals and diagrams to troubleshoot and maintain systems

* Working Environment

* Approximately 20% indoor, 80% outdoor.
* Work will often be at heights on roof tops or in lift equipment.
* Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
* Must be able to work rotating shift schedules possibly providing 24 hour/7 day week coverage
* Personnel will be required to climb to heights of approximately 8 feet as part of regular work requirement

* Physical Requirement
* Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
