Responsibilities: * Lead a survey crew in the field for boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys. * Set up and run survey equipment to collect accurate data. * Read and understand construction plans and survey specs. * Work directly with project managers, engineers, and other team members. * Solve problems and keep the job moving * Keep clear and accurate field notes and reports. * Take care of the survey truck and equipment. * Follow all safety rules. * Other duties as needed. Qualifications: * Experience in land surveying (crew chief experience is a plus). * Valid driver's license. * Experience using survey equipment (robotic total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners, levels, tablet PCs, etc.). Trimble experience is a plus. * Basic computer and math skills. * Good communication skills. * Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team. * Able to work outdoors in all weather and lift up to 80 lbs. * Willing to travel and stay out of town when needed.
