				Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Instrument Person to join our growing Surveying team! This position is fully remote and will include travel.  

Colliers Engineering & Design's survey professionals have the expertise to achieve highly accurate results while maintaining quality control over data collected, from field to office, and precision of the final client deliverables. Whether the project calls for administering conventional surveying methods, cutting-edge geospatial scanning techniques or a combination of both, our professionally licensed land surveyors, highly-trained office technicians and field crews work seamlessly together to provide the most responsive and consistent professional survey services available. Implementing the right approach for each project is what makes the difference and ensures our clients they are receiving the most accurate surveying and measurement services.

Responsibilities:

* Use total stations, data collector, GPS, and other surveying equipment to collect data.
* Upload and download all field data collections. 
* May be required to drive the survey vehicle.
* Transport and set up the instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing the job site for survey.
* Uses appropriate safety equipment and follows established work safety policies, practices, and procedures.
* Adhere to the Health and Safety program and all applicable SOPs.
* Responsible for care and maintenance of the survey instruments and equipment. 
* Assist with maintaining equipment and stocking the survey vehicle.
* Maintain, load, and stock all supplies in the truck.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma/GED is required.
* Basic knowledge of surveying practices and equipment is a plus; 1+ years of survey experience is preferred. 
* Ability to effectively operate/handle surveying equipment. 
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required. MVR will be checked and monitored.
* Basic knowledge of math, geometry, and trigonometry for the purpose of performing calculations. 
* Ability to demonstrate basic organizational skills and the awareness of prioritization skills. 
* Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Requires a pre-employment drug screen and will require ongoing participation in the employer's random drug and alcohol testing program.
