Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Surveillance Agent plays a crucial role in maintaining the security and safety of the property. Responsibilities include monitoring and recording activities through the surveillance systems and preparing detailed logs of pertinent events. The Surveillance Agent also collaborates with the Surveillance Manager to document any questionable activities for review.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Observe all casino operations via surveillance cameras and tape any potential cheating infractions.
* Operate all surveillance computer equipment, including monitoring/patrolling all areas of the facility through the pan, tilt, and zoom cameras.
* Record any pertinent activity on the video recording systems.
* Log and mark recordings and file them in one of several repositories, depending on the activity depicted.
* Notify appropriate staff when infractions, cheating, etc. are observed.
* Report improper activity or disturbances to supervisor or security team for further investigation.
* Complete daily activity report, noting any pertinent facts.
* Ensure compliance with applicable state gaming regulations.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist the Security Department in crime prevention activities.
* Assist in the detection of illegal activities on the property, to include the gaming areas, food and beverage areas, and cage/count room areas.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Surveillance Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum of 18 years of age.
* High School diploma or GED, or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must possess basic computer skills.
* The ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
* The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Must have excellent hand/eye coordination to operate camera switching controls.
* The ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
* Must qualify for a license with the Maryland State Lottery Agency and meet any credentialling requirements of the Maryland Gaming Control Board.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Working knowledge of surveillance equipment and digital recording systems.
* The ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* The ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
