				Overview:

Novant Health Southeastern Spine Institute is looking for a Surgical Technologist! 

* Location: 1625 Hospital Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 
* Status:  Full Time
* Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:30am-4pm. No weekends, holidays, or call!

Our facility includes a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center, committed to providing a compassionate, quality-focused patient experience. 

Responsibilities:

* Prepare the operating room, ensuring equipment and sterile supplies are available.
* Sterilize, assemble, and check equipment 
* Review surgeon preferences to prepare specialized trays.
* Wash and disinfect incision sites.
* Position the patient on the operating table
* Clean and transport instruments for terminal sterilization.
* Assist with cleaning and turning over the operating room for the next patient.
* Restock the operating room with necessary supplies.

Qualifications:

* Education
* Education Level Required/Preferred Description
* High School or GED Required Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D - Operating Room Specialist). 
* For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification please see additional skills required. Online Surgical Tech program credits will not be accepted.

* Years of Experience Required/Preferred Description
* Preferred Previous Surgical Technologist experience.

* Current Surgical Tech Certification Preferred

* Current Surgical Tech Certification - based on state specific regulations (South Carolina Region Only) Required

* For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have
certification the following additional requirements apply: new graduates must obtain certification
within 12months of hire. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill
validation and competency testing. Demonstrate effective and appropriate customer service skills,
verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time
management skills.
* One to two years of experience in sterile processing or equivalent training if assigned solely to
sterile processing.
