Overview: At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy, our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body, mind, and spirit of every person in a more comfortable, less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services, heart and vascular care, emergency services, surgery, maternity, cancer care, and diagnostic imaging. Responsibilities: Up to $10,000 Sign on Bonus Available Up to $7,000 in Education Assistance Available *ask a Recruiter for details* As our Surgical Tech, you will help prepare the operating room and surgical team so they can successfully perform a variety of surgical procedures for patients. Every day you will set up surgical equipment and instruments, assist the surgical team, and ensure a sterile environment. You will be expected to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively within the OR team, and contribute directly to the patient's healing process. Duties include * Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring the equipment is functioning properly and safely * Prepares the operating room and the sterile field for surgical procedures by preparing sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment using sterile technique * Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how it relates to the patient and surgical procedure * Anticipates usual and unexpected events during the surgical procedure and responds in an efficient manner * Handles and processes surgical specimens according to established policy/procedure * Serves as a preceptor in training and orientation of fellow staff members and students Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program Certification in Surgical Technology preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) required Open to hiring Certified or Non-Certified Surgical Techs that have completed a Surgical Tech education program (Pay will differ per position) #hellosurgicaltechs
