Built in 1973, Dignity Health Methodist Hospital of Sacramento is committed to providing daily excellence in health care for residents of Sacramento's southern suburbs, including the Elk Grove, Wilton, and Galt communities. Methodist Hospital is home to a 158-bed acute care facility with 1,120 employees, 283 medical staff, and 29 Emergency Department beds.
Methodist Hospital also owns and operates Bruceville Terrace-a 171-bed skilled nursing and long-term care facility adjacent to the hospital that provides care for the elderly as well as those requiring extended recovery.
The hospital is home to the Family Medicine Residency Program, an accredited and nationally recognized program providing resident physicians with specialty training in primary care family medicine. Together, the hospital and residency program developed a pioneering curriculum addressing the identification, treatment, and support of human trafficking victims, establishing the unique Human Trafficking Medical Home clinic.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

* Assessment: Performs total body and system assessment each shift/visit according to unit standards.
* Care of Patient: Including planning, implementing, evaluating and educating.
* Clinical/Technical Skills: Utilizes technology, procedures, protocols, standards and interventions specific to assigned unit.
* Documentation: Performs legible, timely, concise and accurate documentation according to policies and procedures. Proficient and competent with the computerized documentation system.
* Leadership: Accepts responsibility and accountability for own decisions and behaviors. Recognizes, accepts and cooperates with direction from facility leadership.
* Precepting/Mentoring: Participates in orientation of new staff, ancillary personnel and mentors students in a constructive and positive manner. Serves as resource to staff from other nursing departments.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
* Current California RN license
* One (1) year of Surgery RN experience in an acute care setting
* Current BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
* Ability to circulate and scrub cases
* Call required on nights, weekends, and holidays with a max 30 minute response time
Preferred:
* Two (2) years of Surgery RN experience in an acute care setting
