In-Office Support Services Specialist

Role Overview:As an In-Office Support Services Specialist, you will play a key role in managing and processing important patient documents and accounts efficiently, ensuring smooth operations for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Index and scan documents received via mail or electronic payer portals accurately.
* Carefully review correspondence to determine the correct handling and next steps for each document.
* Manage and process accounts through Work Queues (WQs), including printing, creating labels, stuffing envelopes, or sending documents electronically as needed.
* Handle incoming mail and distribute it promptly to the appropriate teams for processing.
* Maintain focus and consistency, understanding that many tasks may be repetitive and require steady attention to detail.
Ideal Candidate:
* Comfortable working primarily at a desk with repetitive tasks.
* Able to efficiently navigate WQs and electronic portals.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
* Experience: Two years of healthcare or related field experience, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, critical thinking and multi-tasking ability, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks, ability to analyze, investigate and resolved issues.
* Ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately.
* Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to bend, stoop and move around.
* Normal or corrected visual acuity and hearing.
* Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
* Must be able to work independently, present problems with solutions and consistently is able to meet deadlines.
* Must be efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and the ability to operate a Windows based personal computer.
* Ability to work effectively as a member of a team, maintain department and patient confidentiality, interact with all cultures and level of authority.
* Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
* Additional Skills Required: Motivation and Adaptability, Basic medical terminology.
