Responsibilities:

The Equipment Accountability Element Supply Technician will serve as the base equipment review and authorization activity and manage equipment items. A working knowledge of and experience with the Material Management IT system as well as Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS). The EAE administrative functions include interaction with equipment custodians, unit commanders and higher headquarters. This role also prepares and distributes annual surveillance schedules and provides written notices to base organization commanders of scheduled monthly inspections. You will compile inspection results, documents and provide results to numerous levels of management, as well as monitor surveillance findings until actions are resolved. 

This role is temporary full time onsite at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery Alabama.

Essential Job Duties:

Manage Special Purpose Recoverable Authorized Maintenance (SPRAM) assets. Maintain and clear Custodian Authorization/Custody Receipt Listing (CA/CRL) and SPRAM files/folders. Monitor deployment procedures supporting the mobility capabilities of base accounts. Accurately reflect deployed equipment status in ELMS. This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive. DOD and AF Supply Policies and Directives and established Statement of Work direct specific responsibilities.

* Ensure accountability of in-use equipment is properly maintained.
* Interface with the MAJCOM Command Equipment Management Office regarding equipment management.
* Ensure accountable equipment items are marked with Item Unique Identification (IUID) labels.
* Ensure equipment custodians properly conduct their duties.
* Conduct Block Ill initial and refresher EAID training as required.
* Monitor CFO assets for accurate reporting and accounting.
* Prepare accurate reports to summarize organizational equipment account surveillances.
* Provide feedback to squadron commanders concerning equipment accountability under their purview.
* Assist unit property custodians with equipment issues.
* Perform scheduled organizational visits.
* Advise approving and/or appointing authorities on equipment policies and procedures affecting lost, damaged, or destroyed government property.
* Follow oral and written instructions to determine work assignments.
* Maintain courteous, professional relationships with co-workers and the Maxwell/Gunter community.
* Performs other duties and assignments as required.
