Join Our Dynamic Team as a Supply Chain Technician in our Magic Valley Medical Center Distribution Team!
We have TWO part-time, temporary positions available that have the potential to become regular, full-time, benefits-eligible positions.
Schedule
* Must be able to flex hours between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
* Work a minimum of 20 hours/week, up to 40 hours/week (potential overtime, if you want the hours!)
* Weekends - rotate every other weekend (or every weekend, if you want the hours!)

What You Can Expect
As a Supply Chain Technician in Distribution, you will play a crucial role in supporting our hospital operations by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medical supplies throughout the St Luke's Magic Valley Hospital. This fast-paced position offers the opportunity to work both independently and with a collaborative team in a mission-driven environment.

* Freight & Inventory Management: Work both under direct supervision and independently to receive, count, issue, pick, and deliver medical supplies in an accurate and timely manner. Stock medical supplies, ensuring timely distribution to our Units as part of a Distribution team.
* Hospital Support: Work with various Units to fulfill supply needs and handle urgent requests. Learn hospital processes, terminology, and medical supplies.
* Dynamic Environment: Be flexible in daily tasks in a team environment to transport materials and medical supplies across the hospital, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries throughout a hospital.
* Team Collaboration & Customer Service: Work closely with a motivated team, offering top-notch service and troubleshooting inventory needs to maintain a smooth operation. Resolve routine questions and refer complex problems to leads and leadership. Be committed to your strong attention to detail and strong customer service.
* Additional Duties: Assist with phone inquiries, maintain clean work areas, and support general distribution tasks. Perform standardized and routine clerical tasks, including record keeping and inventory transactions.
Requirements
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* Valid driver's license if required to drive.
Preferred Requirements
* Experienced in Logistics or Inventory: Whether you've worked in shipping, receiving, or inventory management (like in a retail store, distribution center, warehouse, for example), you'll be comfortable handling freight, organizing inventory, and using your hands-on skills to keep things running smoothly.
* Customer Service Excellence: You thrive in a team environment and bring a strong sense of camaraderie to your work. Your positive attitude and customer service skills will be key in creating an atmosphere of collaboration and success. You are comfortable and able to converse with department and hospital staff to answer questions and escalate complex issues.
* Basic computer literacy: Answer email, maintain shared files, and look up product information.
* Dependable and timely for assigned shift.
* Be able to lift, move, and transport supplies weighing up to 25 lbs.
* Be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Technician 1 is responsible for typical supply chain operations and logistic functions to include but not limited to distribution, picking, put-away, product delivery, inventorying and stocking.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individual incumbents may be responsible for a general overview or may specialize in one or more of the function areas of Supply Chain Operations listed below:
Courier:
The Courier is responsible for the transportation of patient-related materials, mail, medical supplies, equipment, linen and other items as needed.
* Sort and deliver items.
* Complete forms for tracking and accountability of deliveries.
* Maintain vehicle in clean, fueled, and ready condition.
Distribution:
The Distribution Clerk is responsible for issuing medical/surgical supplies to all user departments in a prompt and efficient manner.
* Answer inquiries on product availability.
* Fill requisitions from stock.
* Unloads, breaks down, tickets and stocks supplies.
Warehouse:
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing and distributing material, equipment and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
* Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.
* Under direct supervision is responsible for inventory, issue, pick and deliver supplies and equipment in an accurate and timely manner while meeting supply chain productivity goals.
* Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
* Demonstrate strong service orientation to all customers.
* Performs standardized and routine clerical tasks. Compiles, files, and maintains records.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
