Now hiring a Supply Chain Procedural Area Coordinator

We are looking for a Supply Chain Procedural Area Coordinator, dedicated to a specific clinical procedural area (Operating Suite, Cath Lab, etc.). This role requires an ability to flourish in a demanding fast-paced environment. One must be organized, detail-oriented, and have and have an ability to navigate a complex dynamic. Excellent communication skills are a must, as this role routinely engages with clinicians and physicians.

This position is accountable for managing assigned inventory areas while processing non-stock requisitions, participating in annual physical prep and counts, and seeking alternative sources and materials when necessary.

This individual is expected to monitor supply usage and be in constant contact with the clinical team for special orders, emergent supplies and supply disruption outages. 
Supply Chain Procedural Area Coordinators are expected to work alone or in a team environment and will be required to manage multiple inventory locations within a procedural area. Ideal candidates will also be able to work extended hours if needed and have experience in building strong working relationships.

* The SUPPLY CHAIN PROCEDURAL SPECIALIST is responsible for performing functions in supply chain areas to include:
 Daily communication on supplies with clinicians in specialty area
*  Requisitioning supply replenishment
*  Par level review, management, and replenishment
*  Stock out and substitution facilitation
*  Stock rotations
*  Inventory replenishment 
*  Case research in Epic
*  Case cart preparation
*  Case Picking
*  Add-on Case Support
*  Inventory and set up of specialty carts
*  Familiarity with sterile procedure
*  Ability to navigate/utilize ERP system and handheld technologies 
*  Physician preference knowledge of procedural area
*  Annual inventory preparation, coordination and counts
*  Specialty equipment management/repairs
*  Returns
* Recalls

Ideal Candidate: 1 year of inventory, warehouse, customer service experience is required. Of the 1 year, 6 months must be in healthcare supply chain or clinical experience required.

Responsibilities:

*  Familiarity with procedural supplies in order to respond to urgent requests
* Works collaboratively with clinicians on a daily basis to meet routine, urgent and special case supply needs 
*  Manages and maintains high-cost supply inventory: analyzing usage and stock levels. Makes recommendations to clinical leaders on adjustments to control costs, reduce waste and provide adequate ongoing stock
*  Requisitions product for area of responsibility. Performs daily complete review of all supply areas responsible for. 
* Expedites and tracks critical orders
*  Manages expired and obsolete inventory
*  Maintains order templates, bins, labels 
*  Initiates returns, transfers and loans of high-dollar, critical supplies
*  Escalates non-contracted supply requests
*  Ensures all documentation is complete, accurate and closed/filed correctly
*  Performs case picking, case cart preparation, and processing of unused/returned supplies from cases
*  Maintains and builds new stock areas to include order templates, pars, supply shelving, product/bin organization, and generating labels
*  Perform activities that meet KPI standards (ex: departmental fill rates)
*  Performs cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels
*  Preps, coordinates and performs physical counts for annual inventory process for area of responsibility.
*  Supports optimization of department technologies to better perform tasks and to improve services and outcomes
*  Participates in and support Supply Chain�s emergency/disaster preparedness and response and support PHS Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) efforts
*  Ensures compliance with Supply Chain Policies and Procedures to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
*  Attends and participate in supply chain and department area meetings and committees; stay abreast of process changes and technology innovations
*  Follows and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives and quality assurance programs, and safety, environmental and infection control standards
*  Executes initiatives and tactics effectively and efficiently, monitors and reports progress, and elevate issues and concerns in a timely manner.
*  Assists with equipment repairs as needed
*  Ensures 100% compliance with all Federal and State healthcare regulations, TJC standards, and PHS Policies and Procedures.
*  Actively supports back-orders, stock-outs, substitutes, trials, conversions, and recalls.
*  Identifies, analyzes and addresses gaps in inventory processes
*  Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED is required.
*  1 year of inventory, warehouse, customer service experience is required. Of the 1 year, 6 months must be in healthcare supply chain or clinical experience required. 
*  Experience working in a business system and/or technology as a part of daily duties required.
