Overview: Navitas is ready to invest in you! We are seeking a Supply Chain Intern in Ann Arbor, Michigan that will work under the direction of senior staff members to assist with activities related to inventory management, warehousing, supplier coordination, internal scheduling, and other supply chain activities this winter/spring from approximately January to March. Responsibilities: * Assist with the processes of inventory management and warehousing to create a standardized optimal material flow of goods internally and a centralized warehouse for operations * Effectively communicate project tasks and commitments with team members. * Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule * Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels. * Support assessment and sourcing of suppliers in conjunction with members of the purchasing team * Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures * Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner * Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary * Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: Education and Experience Education: Interns are generally college students. There are no specific restrictions on major, graduation year or progress. Preferred Experience: Supply chain/logistics industry exposure or some coursework including supply chain/logistics technology is preferred but not required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Must be comfortable supporting US military-funded work and building products for US military testing and use. * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Good interpersonal and organizational skills. * Good written and verbal communication skills * Strong attention to detail ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) the individual must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
