* Responsible for the daily operations of the sterile processing department
* Responsible for the supervision of staff assigned to sterile processing 
* Coordinates the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing and sterilization of instrumentation 
* Accountable for maintaining the established standards of quality for the department 
* Assist in the development and review of policy and procedures as they apply to sterile processing 
* Assist with sterile processing staff education, training, development and competency 
* Prioritize workflow based on the surgical schedule and case volume 
* Review sterilization logs and  scan documentation into CensiTrack 
* Check sterile trays and supplies for integrity and expiration dates 
* Act as a liaison between doctors, staff and vendors 
* Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the department

Qualifications:

* Minimum 5 years experience in Leadership as a Lead Tech Supervisor in a Trauma facility
* Familiarity of AAMI and AORN Standards and regulatory agency requirements

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Graduate of an Accredited School of Surgical Technology or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
* Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required
* Fire Safety within 90-days
* Association of Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Certificate required

Preferred:

* Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech (CSPDT-CBSPD)
