Overview: Supervisor Nursing Services - Powell 4 Stroke/Medical Neuro/Trauma - Methodist Benefits Eligible Powell 4 is a 25 bed Medical Neurology and Epilepsy Monitoring unit specializing in Stroke, Seizure disorders, and other neurology disorders. We are Primary Stroke Center Certified and have one of Central Iowa's only Epilepsy monitoring units. Our dedicated team is committed to a multidisciplinary approach to patient centered care involving achieving best patient outcomes and safe discharge plans. Responsibilities: The Unit supervisor: Provides leadership as part of unit management team. Coordinates unit management activities in conjunction with manager/director. Facilitates unit staff development in collaboration with manager/director. Carries out the day-to-day operation plan of the unit under the direction of the manager/director. Serves as a resource to other health team members on the assigned unit. Works collaboratively with other departments to facilitate cost effective health care. Patient population: DNV-Certified primary Stroke Unit. Also Medical Neuro/Trauma. Remote telemetry and Epilepsy monitoring. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree upon hire * Two (2) year experience as a Registered Nurse * Current Iowa RN license * Current BCLS (CPR) certification * Basic computer skills * Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) * Experience in specialty area
