				Overview:

CHI Carrington Health, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health, have a variety of skills from clinical to project management. In our Critical Access Hospital, you will be exposed to the emergency department, acute care (Med/Surg), swing bed, surgery, outpatient treatment, and so much more!

Responsibilities:

As a Nurse Supervisor at CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington Medical Center, you oversee the day-to-day operations of the department and guide assigned team members. You'll provide management support for planning, organizing, and leading resources, while also contributing individually within the department. Every interaction will be an opportunity to better understand the needs of our patients, your team, and the clinic. You'll advocate for your team, supporting their growth in alignment with our operational goals and CommonSpirit Health's Mission, Vision, and Commitments. You'll also serve as a role model for ethical management.
 
This role requires a strong understanding of both inpatient and outpatient nursing, nursing administration, relevant regulations, and professional standards. Strong skills in project management, communication, strategic planning, and change management are essential. Key personal attributes for success include motivation, a team-oriented approach, professionalism, trustworthiness, and a commitment to treating everyone with dignity and respect. Success in this role will be demonstrated through accountability, confidence, excellent communication (both one-on-one and in group settings), and the ability to navigate difficult conversations, as you will be directly responsible for team performance and clinic operations.
 
**Essential Key Job Responsibilities:**
 
* Collaborate with the VP of Nursing and HR on recruitment processes, including interviewing, hiring, orientation, performance evaluations, and, when necessary, termination or promotion.
* Assign daily tasks and guide the functional and technical performance of team members.
* Allocate and direct staffing to meet patient, unit, and department needs, collaborating to ensure overall staffing needs are met.
* Manage performance by setting goals, clarifying expectations, monitoring progress, providing feedback and recognition, developing skills, and addressing performance issues in line with our Commitments and with HR guidance.
* Oversee the quality of patient care to ensure individualized nursing care, review and follow up on incident reports to promote safety, make timely recommendations for improvements, and develop staff education in collaboration with the Director of Nursing to maximize skill development.
* Oversee patient care delivery to maximize patient/family satisfaction and minimize risks. Direct staff during emergencies, advocate for patients and families, and serve as a resource for staff.
* Ensure timely, accurate, and complete assessment, intervention, and documentation in medical records and care plans, utilizing relevant technology.
* Respond to patient, campus, and office concerns to ensure resolution and maintain quality of care.
* Serve as a technology super user, assist in orienting new staff, and act as a team resource.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Associates RN acceptable with minimum of 3 years' experience in the discipline OR Master's Degree and no experience
* Registered Nurse License issued by the sate of State of ND
* Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association 
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association 
* Pedatric Advance Life Support (PALS) issued by American Heart Association 

Preferred:

* Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
* Two years (2) of management experience in an inpatient/outpatient nursing environment
