What You Can Expect:

* will oversee our phlebotomy team of about 28 employees. The role will support all three shifts (days, evenings, and nights), with a likely schedule of four 10-hour shifts (tentatively 4:00am-2:30pm).

will be responsible for hiring, onboarding and training, managing day-to-day workflow, and fostering team development. They'll also be expected to jump in and help on the frontlines with phlebotomy when needed.

Qualifications:

* Education: Associate of Science or 2 years additional experience in lieu of degree.
* Experience: 3 years' experience.
* Certification: None.

Responsibilities:

The Supervisor Laboratory 1 is responsible for directing, coordinating, and assisting in the activities of ancillary workers in a laboratory setting. Ensures laboratory services meet the needs of patients and services are performed in accordance with accepted standards and practices.

* Provides leadership, guidance, counseling to staff. 

* Prepares and maintains area policy and procedure manual. 

* Ensures compliance of all areas with state, local and appropriate regulatory agency requirements. 

* Provides all areas with administrative support. 

* Conducts performance appraisals. 

* Contributes to the budget for capital purchases and supply projections. 

* Orders/manages supplies for the area/department. 

* Maintains a safe and clean working environment. 

* Follows laboratory policies and procedures in accordance with all regulatory agency requirements. 

* Consults with medical staff and other healthcare providers on matters relating to laboratory services.
