				Responsibilities:

Substation Protection and Control Project Engineers, Power for GFT Infrastructure, Inc. to report to our Charlotte, NC loc but may telecommute.

Create electrical project design concepts and criteria. Approve electrical design project docs after conformity and QA final review. Work with client and team to prepare electrical project designs per SOW. Make recommendations on project staffing. Analyze complex electrical engineering design problems requiring development of new or improved techniques or procedures. Consult with external construction personnel concerning electrical design constructability. Provide input for proposals and pursuit of new electrical engineering projects. Provide direction to and supervision for Jr-level staff. Communicate with clients. Manage electrical design team integrated with multiple disciplines of 5-10 people.

May undergo background checks including drug screening and MV check.

Limited travel to client sites for client + contractor meetings and site inspections within Appalachian region (VA, WV, KY, OH) may be involved. Overnight stays not to exceed 5 days/trip and 60 days/yr.

Qualifications:

Must have bachelor's in electrical engineering or related field and 8 years relevant experience in substation protection and control or MS in electrical engineering or related field and 6 years relevant experience in substation protection and control.

Also requires the following skills (6 yrs exp) in: AutoCAD, Microstation, SEL-5030, MS Office, and ETAP or Aspen OneLiner.

Also requires PE License.

Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $153,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
