Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to provide essential clerical and technical support to our Sonography Department. This role involves working under the supervision of a Cardiologist, Heart Station supervisor, or coordinating technologist.

* Conducting comprehensive assessments for patients of all ages, obtaining medical history, and determining appropriate care and procedure modifications.
*  Accurately documenting patient assessments, clinical history in CPACS and EHR, and completing necessary forms.
* Assisting with sonographic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and adhering to departmental protocols for obtaining diagnostic images.
* Effectively communicating with patients, peers, and medical staff, and notifying appropriate personnel of patient issues.
* Actively contributing to meeting all departmental accrediting and licensing standards (JCAHO, State Health Department, etc.).
* Providing patient and student education, completing mandatory in-services, maintaining CPR certification, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications:

Education: High school graduate.  A minimum of twelve (12) months education in a JRCERT accredited School of Diagnostic Sonography.

Experience:  Twelve (12) months education in a JRCERT accredited School of Sonography
