Responsibilities: Your main responsibilities Protostatix, a Division of Enlobe is looking for their next Structural Engineering Technologist to join our office in Edmonton, Calgary or Etobicoke. * Prepare engineering drawings * Design drafting using AutoCAD, REVIT, and MS office with excellent general computer skills * Must have good knowledge and experience with wood construction. * Preparing and modifying drawings during design and construction. Ensuring structural drawings and specifications meet established Project criteria and applicable standards. * Have a good understanding of design / drafting for Muti-family dwellings, light commercial and commercial buildings. * Assisting in the preparation of functional, preliminary and detailed design drawings. * Participate in the production of construction document for structural projects. * Communication and coordination with other sub consultants and members of the Project team. * Read and interpret blueprints/drawings * And other miscellaneous duties, as required * Qualifications: What makes you unique * Completion of civil engineering technology diploma from an accredited school is required. * A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ideally in the consulting industry. * Working experience and knowledge in recent and current versions of AutoCAD, REVIT, MS Office with excellent general computer skills is required. * Experience with wood construction design and drafting. * Equivalent experience or education may be considered. * Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities are required.
