What You Can Expect:

Join a high-performing, patient centered echocardiography team at St. Luke's Heath System, recognized for excellence in cardiovascular care. The Structural Heart Echo Technologist plays a vital role in supporting our multidisciplinary Heart Team, performing advanced echocardiographic imaging for complex structural and interventional cardiology procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and imaging specialists in a cutting edge environment dedicated to quality outcomes by providing intra-procedural guidance during structural heart interventions such as Watchman, TAVR, Mitra-clip, Tri-clip, and Evoque procedures.

* 8 or 10 hour shifts available. 
* Weekends 6 weekend shifts per year
* No on call required!
* Workload 2-7 patients per day 
* Equipment Epiq
* EMR Epic
* PACS ISCV
* Patient populations: Adult and CVOR
* Extensive 3D knowledge preferred 

Minimum Qualifications for this Role:

* Education: Associates degree or experience in lieu of
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) OR Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification (ARDMS)

Responsibilities:

Independently performs echocardiograms, cardiac Doppler, M-mode and color flow imaging tests in adult and/or pediatric patients.

* Responsible for preparing patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures. Explain procedures to patients. 
* Collect key information from the patient, family, provider, and records necessary for interpretation of the study(s). 
* Perform Saline Contrast Study (bubble studies) as necessary. 
* Provide necessary reports and maintain echo records, charges, and files. 
* Maintain equipment and supplies. 
* Ensure the proper exam is being performed. Consult provider as needed. 
* Participate in call rotation as assigned. 
* May lead and mentor others, acting as the first point of escalation. Performs the most advanced tasks with little to no supervision. 
* Performs advanced ECHO procedures (e.g. TEE, 3-D, etc). 
* Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
