Overview:
We are seeking a highly-motivated intern to join our Bridges & Structures Engineering Discipline in our Holmdel, NJ office.

Responsibilities:
* The selected candidate will work in the Bridges & Structures group of the Company's Infrastructure Division on various projects including new or rehabilitated highway, rail and pedestrian bridges and culverts, retaining walls and temporary structures for contractors.
* Responsibilities will include the preparation of a variety of engineering analyses and computations, CAD drawings, technical reports and cost estimates under the supervision of senior engineers.
* Collaborate as a member of the Bridges team to realize project deliverables and deadlines.
* Put classroom lessons to work in a practical, real-world situation.
* Occasional field work may be required under the supervision of senior engineers or managers.
* Opportunities to experience and participate in the design of structural projects for other related Infrastructure Division departments including Rail, Waterway Structures and Hydropower.

Qualifications:
* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related program.
* Interest in Structural design preferred.
* Must have reliable transportation to the office.
* Basic understanding of AutoCAD and/or Microstation preferred.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Possess solid problem-solving skills.
* Must be able to work in a high-paced environment.
* Strong computer literacy, to include MS Office.
