				Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for versatile and driven Structural Engineers to join our team! This position is very hands-on with the opportunity to work on a diverse and challenging civil and marine project portfolio! 

Our structural team is expanding, and we require an innovative engineer who is enthusiastic about learning and advancing alongside our company. The role encompasses a wide range of tasks, including practical fieldwork and office-based engineering assignments, enabling us to manage the complete spectrum of marine/waterfront engineering design projects.     

Responsibilities:

* Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques and principles, with the guidance of senior staff, to develop designs, reports, and other elements necessary for project success.
* Assist senior engineers in developing civil and marine design plans.
* Assist senior engineers in engineering calculations, write technical reports, and present findings to project engineers and managers.
* Research code provisions and specifications.
* Interpret typical engineering drawings and details.
* Assist senior engineers with project cost estimates.
* Develop fluency in AutoCAD and structural design software such as STAAD, Enercalc, etc. 
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, managers, and clients.
* Perform self QA/QC for design methodology, plans, calculations, and outcomes, etc., and to respond efficiently to supervisor's QA/QC of work.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required, with a focus of structural is preferred.
* Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required; PE license is preferred or record of passing PE exam will be acknowledged. 
* Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with colleagues and clients. 
* Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $90,000 to $150,000 (depending on qualifications)
