Qualifications:

We are currently seeking a Summer 2025 Structural Engineering Intern for our Transportation practice in our Jacksonville, FL office!

Job Summary: The Structures Intern will be under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE) and work on the technical design of transportation related structures, plans production, and quantities development on a variety of projects and structures such as bridges, retaining walls, temporary walls, toll gantries, sign structures, and signal mast arms.

Responsibilities:

* Perform calculations requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles
* Prepare and revise engineering design drawings
* Collect, prepare, and analyze data
* Perform engineering with the use of computer-assisted engineering software and equipment
* Provide support to engineering and project management associates

Qualifications:            

* Current student pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET accredited university with at least 1 year remaining until program completion
* 2.5 GPA or above
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Prior internship or related experience
