Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies to support business objectives
* Drive supply base optimization and supply chain strategies in procurement strategies
* Lead supplier selection, qualification, and development activities for strategic and high-value suppliers worldwide.
* Negotiate complex commercial agreements, pricing, contractual terms, and long-term supply arrangements.
* Drive cost reduction initiatives through market analysis, should-cost modeling, value engineering, and supplier collaboration.
* Manage supplier performance, including delivery, quality, capacity, responsiveness, and continuous improvement programs.
* Proactively identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing, business continuity planning, and capacity reservation agreements.
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) programs by ensuring early supplier engagement and securing material availability for product launches.
* Lead escalation management for critical supply, quality, and capacity issues impacting business performance.
* Establish strong collaboration and develop partnership with Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, Service, Logistics, and Finance to support strategic business objectives.
* Perform and lead in a variety of procurement and material management activities that include supplier quotations, supplier selection, cost negotiations, lead time management, material purchasing and planning, sub-contractor management, supplier performance evaluation, safety stock management, inventory planning and management, business continuity planning, part expediting, delivery and payment resolution
* Conduct cost analysis to support decision making for existing, new projects and initiatives
* Manage supplier contracts and monitor compliance with commercial and legal obligations.
* Drive supplier capacity planning and allocation management in constrained market environments.
* Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving supply chain resilience, operational efficiency, and total cost of ownership.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors or Master Degree in Business Administration or equivalent with experience in strategic procurement
* Fluent in written and spoken German is a must-requirement
* Fluent in written and spoken English
* Proficient in MS Office applications
* Strong teamwork skills in collaborating with suppliers, partner legal compliance and internationally based teams
* Possess knowledge of total cost ownership analysis, risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relations management
* Excellent analytic skills and detailed oriented
* Excellent communication skills, including presentation and negotiation abilities
* Strong in project management skills
* Creative, fast and able to adapt changes and challenges and transform and identify new opportunities
