Overview:
**This position will be physically located in Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP**

As Stock Clerk , you will be an integral part of our grocery store's daily operations. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service, maintain the store's appearance and cleanliness, and assist in various tasks related to inventory management and stocking. Building upon the duties of a Stock Clerk this position requires a basic knowledge and expertise. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and product knowledge will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
* Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, helping and addressing Inquiries regarding products, pricing, and store policies.
* Stocking and Merchandising: Restock shelves, coolers, and displays with products, ensuring the availability of items for customers.
* Monitor product expiration dates and rotate stock to minimize waste and maintain product freshness.
* Assist in setting up promotional displays and seasonal merchandise as directed by the store management.
* Prepares requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* High school diploma or equivalent work experience in related field.
* Ability to obtain an on-post license and Host Nation Driver's license as required.
* Experience:
* 0-1 years of experience in a retail setting, preferably as a grocery store clerk.
* Must be detailed oriented and organized.
* Skills:
* Capable of effectively communicating in English, written and verbal.
* Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
* Basic math skills to handle cash transactions and inventory calculations.
* Must be able to perform daily tasks with accuracy, speed, and precision.
* Must be able to communicate fluently in English to communicate and interact with the customers, vendors, and managers daily.
* Knowledge of grocery products and their placements within the store is an advantage.
* Ability to speak 2 languages
* Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment is required.
* Ability to prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload is required.
* Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy is required.
* Advanced ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form, is required.
* High-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately is required
* Working Conditions:
* Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).
* Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
* The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
* Physical Requirements:
* Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
