Responsibilities: Position is open until filled Ameristar Casino Resort Spa offers Team Members: Now hiring candidates 18 or older for all positions, including gaming licensed positions (Must be 21 or older for Beverage Server, Barback, Bartender) * Health Benefits Insurance package effective Day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short-Term Disability for FT team members * $700 Referral Bonus Program ($350 at 90 days $350 at 6 months) - for Team Members who refer new applicants * Discounted Casino bus tickets * Discounted RTD EcoPass * Hot meal served by the Leadership Team once a month * 20% discount for Starbucks, Ara Spa, and all food outlets * 100% Colorado Gaming License reimbursement after 90 days of employment * Hotel discounts available at all 43 PENN properties, plus discounts on goods and services * Education reimbursement program and Annual Scholarship Program * Career development opportunities Responsibilities include: * Adhere to guest service requirement listed above. * Maintain sanitation levels. * This position requires considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift including working in confined spaces and awkward positions, requiring standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead. * Ability to comprehend product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products. * Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function. * Insure the cleanliness of all floors, walls, dishes, pots, etc. * Insure "Wet Floor" signs and other markers are used. * Make sure kitchen workers have and use the proper equipment necessary for the job (gloves, goggles, chemicals, etc.). * Ensure that all equipment functions properly. * Always conduct oneself in a manner that reflects a positive professional image. * Assist in training all kitchen workers in all aspects of safety. * Train kitchen personnel on proper chemical usage and safety applications. * Maintain the levels and standards of cleanliness and safety set by Ameristar Black Hawk and the Health Department. * Ability to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move or push goods on a cart weighing a maximum of 50 lbs on occasion. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. * Minimum of six (6) months of cleaning experience required. * Familiar with the handling of cleaning solutions and compounds; familiar with cleaning all types of kitchen equipment. * Good verbal communication skills required; must be fluent and literate in English. * Must have excellent organizational skills. * Ability to comprehend product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products. * Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating days off.
