Location: Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC
Department: Sterile Processing
Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift (11:00p-7:30p) - 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday
Our Sterile Processing Department is a critical unit responsible for the lifecycle management of medical instruments and equipment for 17 operating rooms at Forsyth Medical Center.

Responsibilities:
* Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipment
* Ensures the instruments and equipment are available
* Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, and ready for immediate use in order to support patient care.

Qualifications:
* Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
* Experience: One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required.
* Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays. Ability to learn and understand medical terminology. Maintains Sterile Processing Technician certification.
