As a Sterile Processing Tech Certified you will:

* Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department. 
* Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment. 
* Maintain records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified. 
* Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR. 
* Facilitate the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:  

* Computer skills required
* CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer
* High School Diploma/G.E.D. required

Physcial Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
