Overview: . Responsibilities: Staff Engineer - Software sought by DISH Network L.L.C. in Englewood, CO Build high-end user interfaces using rapid prototyping methodologies. Design application frameworks for use across multiple products. Work with internal technical teams to identify and build platform elements required to support key mobile product features. Suggest ways to improve software development approaches for SlingTV and be the "go-to-person" for software development in specific client / player area. Provide leadership to software engineering projects within SlingTV. Work closely with the project stakeholders to gather software requirements, understand issues and present solutions and guidance. Ensure that the solutions to individual projects and problems align with the overall architectural roadmap. Monitor deployed software for quality and performance and fix the reported issues. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peer software engineering groups and key internal stakeholders and where applicable, maintain agreed external stakeholders relationships relevant to the achievement of business objectives. Qualifications: Requires: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or closely related plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or Embedded Software Engineer/ Systems Developer. Also requires 3 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently): * BrightScript or Javascript or C/C++ or typescript. * Gitlab and Jenkins or Artifactory or SonarQube or ArgoCD or Fortify or Netsparker or white hat or OWASP or Vault or Salt Stack or Terraform. * Creating, optimizing, and integrating Application Programming Interface (API) calls using REST API development. * Serverless / Function as a service concepts, implementations & patterns, web scale and distributed systems. * Native platforms app development, UI development, QT/QML.
