Responsibilities: Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session. The modern streaming landscape requires seamless, high-performance monetization strategies that do not compromise the viewer experience. In this role, you will solve complex architectural challenges surrounding Server-side Ad Insertion (SSAI) to ensure low-latency delivery during high-traffic broadcast events. By bridgeing the gap between sophisticated ad-tech logic and robust cloud infrastructure, this position ensures our global audience receives high-quality, personalized content without interruption. What Success Looks Like (Objectives) * Full ownership and optimization of the dynamic Server-side Ad Insertion service, ensuring 99.9% availability during peak US business hours. * Delivery of high-quality, resilient software through an automated CI/CD pipeline within an agile framework. * Alignment of technical roadmaps with departmental OKRs to enhance streaming reliability and reduce incident mitigation time. * Accurate estimation and execution of complex software tasks to maintain a predictable and high-velocity release schedule. * Application of AI-driven coding assistants and automated testing tools to improve code coverage and accelerate the development lifecycle. * Resolution of high-priority production issues through proactive system monitoring and sophisticated debugging strategies. Qualifications: Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring) * Extensive experience designing and scaling distributed systems and RESTful APIs within AWS environments. * Deep mastery of video streaming protocols, specifically MPEG-DASH and HLS, to facilitate seamless ad stitching. * Architectural expertise in Distributed Cache Management and API Gateway configurations to optimize data retrieval and system security. * Advanced proficiency in core data structures and algorithms to build efficient, high-performance back-end logic. * AI Literacy and the ability to integrate machine learning models for predictive system scaling or automated log analysis. * Exceptional communication and collaborative leadership skills to navigate deadline-driven environments and cross-functional design discussions. Minimum Requirements * Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred). * Minimum Experience: 8+ years of experience in software development. * Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 3 years of experience with: * Development of REST APIs and API Gateway management. * Implementation and optimization of MPEG-DASH & HLS streaming protocols. * Cloud orchestration and virtualization using Kubernetes, Docker, or VMware. * Distributed caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
