Responsibilities:

Maintaining accuracy and integrity across the company's supply chain and corporate inventory records is a critical operational challenge. This role bridges physical inventory management with general ledger precision to mitigate financial discrepancies through routine audits and daily cycle count monitoring. Analytical variance reviews are performed regularly to identify and resolve systemic tracking errors. Additionally, updating accounting workflows using modern systems and automated tools supports a streamlined financial close process.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):

* Perform month-end close processes, reconciling inventory sub-ledgers to the General Ledger and executing journal entries within strict deadlines

* Monitor daily cycle counts, warehouse transactions, and audit exemption approvals to maintain overall inventory accuracy and compliance

* Partner with supply chain, logistics, warehouse, and finance departments to analyze variance data and evaluate reserves for slow-moving or obsolete inventory

* Manage lease accounting schedules to ensure compliance with ASC 842 standards, including recording Right-of-Use assets and maintaining lease amortization tables

* Leverage AI, automation, and data tools to redesign manual workflows, eliminate process redundancies, and accelerate the financial close cycle

* Maintain internal control frameworks and ensure strict SOX compliance across all assigned inventory accounting systems and documentation

Qualifications:

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring):

* Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, inventory reconciliation methods, and internal accounting control frameworks

* Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience building macros, power queries, pivot tables, and financial models

* Practical AI literacy, including the ability to apply automated data analytics tools and VBA to optimize accounting workflows

* Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities to resolve complex discrepancies between corporate ledgers and warehouse records

* Collaborative communication skills to coordinate financial objectives across logistics, warehouse operations, and executive leadership teams

Additional Qualifications:

* Prior experience with Oracle and OneStream ERP systems is highly preferred

Minimum Requirements: 

* Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
* Minimum Experience: 2+ years of experience in general ledger or inventory accounting
* Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 2 years of experience with:
* General ledger accounting and inventory reconciliation

* Advanced Microsoft Excel functions (including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, power queries)

* Financial statement variance analysis
