Responsibilities: The Sr. Transportation Manager will oversee the financial process within Outbound Transportation including driver management, budget forecasting, fleet safety, and financial reporting. Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cost effective fleet practices to support KeHE's customers and vendors. The Sr. Transportation Manager is also primarily responsible and accountable for analysis and reporting for the KeHE outbound and inbound networks. Qualifications: * Degree in business/finance/logistics preferred. * Robust knowledge of DOT/FMCSA safety and compliance measures * Proven skills in accident and incident investigations * A minimum of 7 years previous transportation/logistics experience with at least 3 years as supervisor required. * Experience in truckload, intermodal and LTL across multiple temperature classes. Private fleet experience a plus. * Solid analytical capabilities for reviewing large amounts of data, summarizing the material for management, and identifying the critical issues at both the summary and the detail level. * Advanced level computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, TMS * Strong project management and organizational skills. * Must be results-oriented, self-directed, and have excellent time management skills. * Strong interpersonal skills, Customer focused. * Able to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Strong process improvement skills * Up to 25% travel required. Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude: The Sr. Transportation Manager must have an extensive knowledge of transportation and load planning, strong interpersonal skills, and be customer focused. Must be analytical, results-oriented, self-directed, and have excellent time management skills. The Sr. Transportation Manager must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to identify and resolve conflicts as well as improve processes. Knowledge of accounts payable, excellent problem solving, and strong research skills required.
