Overview:
* Tier One Technologies is looking for a Sr. ServiceNow Engineer to support our US Government client.
* This multi-year position will be located in Fort Meade, MD.
* Must be a US Citizen and have active TS/SCI clearance. Full scope poly - preferred.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real- time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
* Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
* Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
* Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the- shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
* Resolve software problem reports.
* Work individually or as part of a team.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university.
* 15 years of applicable design and development experience.
* 12 years of direct experience leading teams of software design and development for collection systems and components.
* 4+ years of experience with ServiceNow Implementations.
* 2+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform.
* Bachelor's degree with 2 additional years of Software Engineering experience may be substituted for a Master's degree.
* ITILv3, ITILv4, or ITILv5 Certification at any level will meet the requirement, i.e., Foundation, Managing Professionals, Strategic Leaders, etc.
* ServiceNow System Administrator certification OR ServiceNow Application Developer certification will be required.
* Experience creating and implementing scripts, business rules, policies, ACLs and otherwise configure or modify ServiceNow applications to meet requirements.
* Experience integrating third-party software and APIs with ServiceNow using REST and SOAP.
* Experience coding in scripting languages (i.e.: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, JSON or other languages used in ServiceNow).
* Excellent communication skills.
* Must be a US Citizen.
* Must have active TS/SCI clearance. Full scope poly - preferred.
* Must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
* Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members).
