How you can make a difference  

The Sr Report Developer is responsible for translating business needs into insights, leveraging data manipulation, exploration, analysis, and visualization techniques to build easily understood custom reporting solutions. The Report developer will execute the full software development life cycle, including, requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment, insuring that the best end product is created for both internal and external clients.

What you'll be doing 

* Design and develop reporting code based on requirement analysis, utilizing SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services, and other available technologies
* UAT testing of report code to ensure accuracy, performance, and fulfillment of requirements
* Deployment of code into UAT and Production environments
* Analyze complex data analysis to identify trends and outliers, and create data visualizations to provide insight to decision makers.
* Create visualizations and dashboards through SSRA and business intelligence tools to create awareness of issues and drive opportunities to mitigate them
* Translate business reporting requirements into technical reporting specifications and develop new data models as needed to support reporting. 
* Identify process improvement opportunities to improve enterprise wide collection of data 
* Create, clarify, document, and maintain definitions for data points used throughout reporting
* Create subscriptions to reports for business users
* Refactor existing report code improve performance
* Develop alerting around query and report performance
* Ensure compliance with security policies as they relate to reports and data 

What you will need to be successful

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
* 5+ years of directly applicable data experience with an emphasis in Data, ETL, Reporting

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Expert level SQL programming skills
* Ability to tune complex queries, functions, and stored procedures for maximum performance
* Proficient in SSRS 2016
* Comprehensive knowledge of dimensional modeling and relational database design, including star schema data warehousing concepts and methodologies
* Ability to quickly create accurate ADHOC reports
* Mastery of Excel and BI visualization tools 
* Working knowledge of Visual Studio and TFS
* Knowledge of Databricks
